Narrated Articles Update 11/2020

For those who prefer listening to reading

My voiceover experiments continue, now with a better pop filter that limits sibilances just enough. The only remaining thing to improve on the technical level, apart from my voice acting, is proper acoustic treatment of my room. I could try to improve it in post, but I don’t really want to alter my voice with EQ too much. I’d much rather learn to improve my sound by speaking better.
I guess I could try some voice modulation for when I’ll be making up voices when reading some of my stories that involve characters. Especially those with alien characters. In any case, I’m still open to any suggestions, whether they’re technical or regarding which articles to do next. This batch was fairly topical, about how to improve one’s speech and thinking, and politics.
As for the next batch, I’m still saving my best and longest articles for later, given that there’s still more technical improvement to be done, including to my acting craft, that I’m gradually resurrecting with this practice. However, I may be confident enough now to try to narrate some of my fiction or poetry. Again, not the best pieces yet, but something shorter and simpler.
Also, I would be glad for any feedback regarding which of the video things that I tried so far work better or worse. This includes royalty-free stock footage, copyrighted footage, my own illustrations that I drew in real time, filming myself saying at least some lines to the camera, using background music, animating text and still images, and visualization of sound (lighting effects synced with when I speak, like for KITT in Knight Rider).
Here are the articles that now can be listened to:
